October brings two special occasions for Hoffnungshaus: on 11th October, we will celebrate ten years of Hoffnungshaus in Leonberg. On 24th October, we will open our 13th location in Gaildorf. We warmly invite you to join us for both celebrations.

Ten years ago in Leonberg, an idea began to become reality: people of different cultures, faiths and generations living together under one roof, connecting through everyday life and building a community together.

Since then, the first Hoffnungshaus has grown into a tried-and-tested concept across multiple locations. Above all, this development has been made possible by the people who bring Hoffnungshaus to life: residents, volunteers, neighbours, partners and supporters.

This October, we want to come together to look back, look ahead – and, most importantly, celebrate. Both events will offer a colourful programme for all ages, with food and drinks, opportunities to connect and insights into life at Hoffnungshaus. Meet our residents, join the conversation and experience Hoffnungshaus for yourself.

This is where it all began: In 2016, the first Hoffnungshaus opened in Leonberg. Ten years later, we would like to celebrate with you what has grown from that beginning – and the many people and stories that have shaped Hoffnungshaus over the years.

Ten years after the first Hoffnungshaus opened in Leonberg, the story continues: In Gaildorf, we are opening our 13th Hoffnungshaus location.

A new neighbourhood is taking shape here, where people of different generations, cultures and walks of life live together.

Affordable housing, places for people to meet, a community centre, and the commitment of both staff and volunteers create space for vibrant neighbourhood life, integration and social cohesion.

At the opening, we would like to bring the new neighbourhood to life together with you and give you the opportunity to get to know Hoffnungshaus and the people behind it.

Getting there:

By car: Free parking is available at the Körhalle and Sporthalle, approximately a 15-minute walk from the venue.
Accessible parking spaces are available at the Süddeutsche Gemeinschaft.
By train: From Stuttgart Central Station, the journey to Gaildorf West takes approximately 50 minutes, followed by a 10-minute walk to Hoffnungshaus.
